| Position is located in Southern Saudi Arabia INTRODUCTION:
• To manage and supervise the financial accounting section (Supervisory) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs and supervises the business activities of the financial accounting section and ensures that top management is provided of a timely and meaningful report for decision making purposes.
• Finalization of periodic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, changes in financial position and all other financial highlights deemed essential to the management.
• Review, consolidation and finalization of the company’s periodic budget.
• Review, analysis and identification of spending variances for management reporting purposes.
• Highlight all other significant financial matters which are essential to the management and stakeholders.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervision of the financial accounting section’s day to day business activities
• Coordinates with internal and external auditors as required
• Coordinates with other department head during budget preparation and matters that affect the smooth delivery of job responsibilities assigned to his staff
• Establishes cut-off procedures and dates and communicates them to all department employees in a timely manner
• Ensures that all accruals and deferrals are properly recorded
• Ensures that employees under his section are well motivated and are in good working relationship with each other
• Any other duties as may be assigned or required by his superior. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:
- Essential: Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Desirable: (FCA, FCCA CPA, CMA or equivalent) or Masters in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field from a recognized university will be preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Essential:
• More than Ten (10+) years post qualification experience in supervisory or managerial positions and at least two of those must be with an international organization
• Solid knowledge and experience in Financial Reporting
• Hands on experience in an ERP based business process environment - Desirable:
• Previous experience of working within the Middle East in a manufacturing industry
• Previous experience in setting up new processes and procedures |
