Job Description Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota seeks a full-time qualitative researcher with a Ph.D. in anthropology, sociology, psychology, nursing, education or a related field emphasizing qualitative research methods training for a faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The candidate will be expected to conduct qualitative research in support of the practice, research and education missions of Mayo Clinic as a member of a multidisciplinary research team. Candidates must possess three years of post-doctoral experience in advanced qualitative methods such as ethnography, participant observation, focus group, in-depth interviews, cognitive interviews, protocol development for qualitative interviewing, and case study analysis. Evidence of research productivity, success in obtaining external grant funding, versatility in qualitative methods, experience as a qualitative methods consultant on interdisciplinary research teams, and knowledge and understanding of human subjects protocols will be valuable.
