Job Description
Verifies, documents and maintains all information used in calculation and delivery of radiation doses given to patients. Analyzes and evaluates equipment performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed. Remains current in treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice. Provides instruction to residents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, pre and postdoctoral students. Develops, and performs quality assurance procedures and monitors radiation output, mechanical integrity and safety of equipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on Federal, State, and Institutional safety guidelines. This position has promotion potential to the Physicist II level provided all requirements are fully met for the higher level. Basic Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics with at least 2 years clinical experience or completed residency in Medical Physics

Other Qualifications:
Is expected to Credential in any procedures practiced independently, but is not expected to be credentialed in all services we provide.

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday - day shift.
Weekend Schedule:

Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure along with internal equity may be considered when job offer is extended. The minimum rate of pay is $4,472.80 per pay period
