Job Description
The NP or PA will provide acute, chronic, and preventive health care services to established patients of all ages, in the outpatient clinic setting. The NP or PA will be involved in population management strategies to improve chronic illness outcomes. The provision of care includes but is not limited to comprehensive evaluation, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacologic agents and treatments, non-pharmacologic therapies, and counseling patients. The NP or PA will work as a team with consultants from Family Medicine, Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, and Primary Care Internal Medicine and other allied health staff. (007197 or 007208) j2wmay
Basic Qualifications:
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as a FNP (certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment date). Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice (or eligible).
Other Qualifications:
Experience in primary care preferred. Previous experience working with pediatric as well as adult patients preferred. The candidate should be comfortable with autonomy, independent decision making, and possess excellent communication skills. The preferred candidate will be a team player, who is comfortable seeing patients of all ages. He/she will function as a member of a care team, seeing patients for chronic disease management, preventive care, health promotion and acute care. License or Certification:
Current Minnesota registered nurse license. Certified or eligible to be certified as a nurse practitioner within 6 months of employment date by a national certifying organization accepted by the Minnesota Board of Nursing OR A current (or temporary) registration or temporary permit with the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice is required. BLS certification and DEA registration required.

Schedule Details: Monday - Friday days, 8 am - 5 pm
Weekend Schedule: Occasional Weekend
Compensation Detail: Salaried - Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. *The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,473.60, based on a full-time position.
