Job Description
A Nurse Practitioner is needed to join three general neurologists at Mayo Clinic Health System - Franciscan Healthcare in LaCrosse, WI, in a busy, growing general adult neurology practice. Our Neurology service is part of a comprehensive neuroscience team, including adult neurology, a growing neurosurgery practice with two neurosurgeons on staff, neuropsychology and neuroradiology. The Neurology Division at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, which has close collegial, supportive and educational ties with our Neurology Department, provides outreach services to LaCrosse in pediatric neurology and movement disorders.
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and family nurse practitioner program. Current registered nurse license in the state of practice. Certified or eligible for certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). BLS certification required. ACLS recommended. Prescriptive authority should be obtained within 6 months of hire. Acquisition of DEA number is recommended for all positions within 6-8 months of receiving prescriptive authority.
