Our Client, Nottingham City Council Children’s Services HR department, is currently looking to recruit two HR professionals on a temporary basis. Based in Nottingham (Lenton) they are looking to recruit an HR Officer to provide advice and support to local schools in the Nottingham City area.
The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Practitioner you will provide a pro-active customer orientated sold human resources service to approximately 45 schools and a selection of central services. To provide advice and support on HR matters to head teachers, governors and managers. To contribute to HR project work and/or be a main worker on a specific area of HR work covering Recruitment & Retention, Training & Development or Employee Relations as required.
Working within a friendly professional team the ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, excellent communication skills, confidence and stature in order to contribute to a successful department.
To succeed you need to demonstrate:
* Ideally CIPD qualified (part qualified) or equivalent professional experience. * An HR Generalist with experience of advising senior managers on complex HR matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, sickness and capability issues. * Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application. * You will be customer focused, driven to achieve excellent results leading to higher rewards. * Willingness to work outside of normal hours, if necessary.
