Our client has been established in the UK for over 40 years, supplying all sectors of the wall and floor tile market. With over 50 strategically located trade centres and tile showrooms, they offer an unrivalled product portfolio and delivery service.
They are currently looking to recruit a Stock Controller at their Kings Norton branch to ensure stock levels are maintained to an agreed level and budget in order to provide excellent customer service.
With an understanding of the current market, you will analyse customer purchasing trends in order to determine the stock level for the region. Communicating regularly with the sales force, you will help to manage project quantities and develop a working knowledge of import costs. You will be responsible for carrying out daily PPI checks along with the planning and coordination of the bi annual stock take for the branch. You must investigate and communicate ‘out of stocks’ to the region while maintaining the automated PIM system and looking into and resolving PIM queries.
Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate strong numerate skills and have proven warehouse experience or similar. Articulate, you must possess strong communication skills and be educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent. Our client is looking for a commercially aware individual, ideally with experience of forecasting and an understanding of Import legislation.
