These Buyer and Junior Buyer roles in our Indirect Procurement team offer you the opportunity to work in an exciting and ever changing part of our business. You will be joining an exceptional company that offers an exciting future and great rewards. You will be part of the Howden Kitchens Purchasing team which internationally sources direct product for sale, and indirect products and services to support our growing business.
Senior Buyers & Buyers You will have wide ranging responsibilities managing supplier relationships and negotiating prices, generating cost savings and efficiencies in our procurement processes. You will be actively involved in the development and implementation of category strategies to meet our business objectives. These are hands-on roles where your ability to manage and develop both internal and external relationships will be of critical importance. Your role will involve some travel across the UK.
You should have established skills in procurement and ideally have sector experience in wood, furniture, capital equipment or commodities such as freight. You must be a self-starter, with first class communication and inter-personal skills, able to influence the business and suppliers at all levels.
Junior Buyers These roles are similar to the Buyer roles above in almost all aspects. The critical difference being that you will have the opportunity to develop your skills. Working in close so-operation with all parts of the business, you will be involved in a wide range of procurement activity.
You must be a self-starter, with first class communication and inter-personal skills, able to influence the business and suppliers at all levels. You are likely to be educated to degree level and have already gained some exposure to procurement.
