Deputy Manager 26,000 pa starting (one year contract with view to extend subject to funding )
Queen's Crescent Community Association Ltd in Camden, North West London, are looking for a multi-skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to assist the Centre Director in FRONT OF HOUSE management of the three community centre sites. You will in particular manage and develop the older peoples programme.
You will have a degree qualification and a proven track record working with disadvantaged community from different ethnic backgrounds. You will have at least 1 year management and fundraising skills. You will be working with a diverse team consisting of Youth workers/ coordinator, cooks, crèche workers, gym instructors, fitness instructors, coach, volunteers, administrators, tutors, cleaners and caretakers.
Your principle objectives would be:
•Planning, organising and coordinating programmes, including timetabling, line managing staff and updating policies. •To deputise for the Director in his absence •To develop and implement effective marketing and publicity •Ensuring that the facilities meet the needs of target groups. •Supervising staff responsible for each project •Developing and negotiating funding bids in line with an overall funding strategy. Monitoring and evaluation of projects and providing reports and information as required •Manage the older peoples programme. i.e Seniors Luncheon Club, Keep Fit Classes, Summer trips etc. •Working with other Camden agencies to attract funding and resources from trusts and the Local Authority in-line with the fundraising strategy and the delivery plan. •Develop sustainable programmes and manage existing comprehensive programme of activities across three different sites in the Gospel Oak area.
