My client is a world leading consultancy of engineers and specialist advisers.
They are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer or a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their rail team to supervise and interpret ground investigations and undertake geotechnical design on railway infrastructure projects. It will be expected that you will be working with minimum supervision, you will be involved in slope stability assessments and retaining wall, foundation and slope remediation design.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, ideally with an engineering MSc. You will have experience in interpreting ground investigation information and undertaking slope stability assessments, as well as a good working knowledge of SLOPEW. Detail design experience in retaining walls and/or slope stabilisation techniques would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team is essential as well as a keen interest in multi-disciplinary working.
