A leading engineering company are looking for Commercial Contract Manager with a solid background in International commercial law.
The successfull candidate will have a solid background in managing contracts/commercial terms of business, bid preparation, and project management. Further you will have a sound knowledge of corporate law, and International commercial terms.
Based at the companies offices in Either- West Bromwhich, Colchester, or Sweden- Stockholm.
MAIN ACCOUNTABLITIES - Evaluate all existing and proposed contract terms and conditions and agency agreements - Work with suppliers, project managers and sales team to support the preparation of bids, agreements, contracts based on Company standards and in line with business strategy - Establish framework agreements governing contracts in particular with regard to terms and conditions - Assess commercial risk, identify and support risk mitigation strategies - Review legal agreements pertaining to the operations of GLV including leases, licenses, distribution agreements, agency agreements, supply agreements with the support of Legal Affairs Department - Work on back to back contracts with all joint ventures liaising with corporate commercial team as appropriate - Contract management of bonds and guarantees and insurance - Provide an effective sign off for contract material as appropriate and provide technical guidance, support and direction to business units on related issues, both on a business as usual basis and for specific projects - Ensure an invoice reconciliation against contract process is in place - Act as focal point in contract disputes and arbitration matters providing legal and professional input - Develop new best practice processes to improve current ways of working
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE In depth knowledge of: Contract design and commercial terms and conditions Framework agreements with suppliers, establishing the terms governing contracts Sound knowledge of: Corporate law as it relates to commercial contracts (based on either experience or educational background) International Commercial Terms Project management principles Good understanding of: Tendering process in a commercial capital sales business
Skills: Good communication and negotiating skills for interacting with management colleagues and suppliers Skilled in the detailed preparation and dissemination of information when dealing with contractual requirements Able to draft a programme of works for the client and liaise with all departments ensuring timescales are met Good IT skills including proficiency and confidence with Excel and Word packages and knowledge of Microsoft Project Have the ability to work independently a
