Manufacturing Engineer Process, workflow and quality improvements. Prime responsibilities: 1. Identify and implement process improvements and workflow/layout improvements. 2. Cost reduction, quality improvement, leadtime reduction, inventory reduction, health and safety improvement. 3. Identify and implement improvements in process planning and control. 4. Identify causes of poor quality and solutions; reduce reject rates. 5. Provide support for production; assist with resolving problems. 6. Support new product introduction (tooling, pre-production, documentation). Qualifications/ Experience: 1. Minimum 3 years experience as a manufacturing or production engineer in a mechanical engineering environment or similar. 2. Experience of introducing lean manufacturing techniques. 3. Track record in implementing production improvements with measurable benefits. 4. Practical engineering workshop experience a definite advantage. 5. ONC/HNC or equivalent in production or mechanical engineering or similar. Other requirements: IT literate and familiar with manufacturing computer systems Flexible and prepared to be involved in a broad range of issues Good working relationship with people at all levels Drive to succeed, can-do attitude.
