My Client are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide the organisation with information, advice and support on HR issues. A HR professional qualification recognised by CIPD (E.g. Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management) is essential.
The HR Advisor will report to the Finance Director. This is largely a stand alone role, with some work undertaken alongside HR Consultants and temporary HR Administrators The Candidate will be expected to liaise at all levels within the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to work in a truly generalist HR role and build upon their experience before taking the step into management.
JOB PROFILE: DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of Human Resources
* Recruitment process (Temporary and permanent) – ensuring necessary paperwork is complete, sourcing Candidates, providing salary information, providing advice to Line and Senior Managers on recruitment methods. Co-ordinating Graduate recruitment scheme. Organising induction, processing new starters. * Grievance and disciplinary process – Advising Managers on company procedure, ramifications of non-compliance with statutory procedures, ensuring process is documented. * Performance management – Ensuring appraisals are completed on time, supporting and coaching Line Managers to deal with any performance issues arising. * Leavers – responding to resignations, conducting exit interviews, producing exit interview reports. * Managing absence – Logging all sickness absences, compassionate leave etc. and, where appropriate, escalating any issues to Director level to be resolved. * Training - Ensuring feedback from all training is received, logged and available for review to future users. Sourcing new training courses and providers. Suggesting training solutions to support skills gaps. Training needs analysis as required. * Benefits - Adding new members to BUPA and Death in Service scheme, removing ex-employees, amending cover when employee circumstances change (E.g. addition of spouse, child, etc.) and tracking changes. * Internal enquiries – Responding to employee enquiries quickly, accurately and professionally.
Legal Compliance
* Policies Ensuring policies are updated in line with Government legislation / contractual rights and that these policies are followed accordingly (E.g. dealing with requests for Flexible working, paternity leave, etc). * Employment law advice – Advising company on potential employment law issues where applicable.
Information and Communication
* New Starter / Leaver updates - Communicate details of all new starters and leavers to relevant departments (Finance, IT, Security, etc.) before event occurs. Commu
