This large well known organisation in central London is currently looking for a Communication Manager to join their office in the centre of London for a 3 month contract.
Reporting to the Head of Communications Services and working alongside other communications managers, the post holder will plan, develop, coordinate and deliver all aspects of communications to internal audiences and trade/business-to-business and specific external audiences. This will involve planning across internal departments with communications functions and with different business areas, actively communicating the organisation's aims and key messages to support the delivery of the business plan.
The post holder will plan, coordinate and manage Communications projects through the project planning and implementation stages, including evaluation, and manage the Communications Team to manage and deliver projects on time and on budget. Key responsibilities will include:-
Plan, manage and deliver communications strategies and campaigns for various business and functional areas Align communications activity with the business unit's aims and key messages with communications strategies for business areas and the communications strategy Manage Communications Officers and members of the Communications Services Team to plan and deliver communications strategies and campaigns. Represent the Communications Services team to business owners and key personnel of business areas across the business unit, acting as the "account manager" in charge of all internal and external communications strategies, campaigns and programs for specific business areas Manage production and distribution of internal and external communications materials for various business areas, working alongside the Production Officer Develop project briefs, select and manage suppliers, working alongside the Production Officer and the Events Officer Develop and own internal and external communications project plans and ensure stakeholder and business owner satisfaction with the communications plans and strategies Maintain and improve communications planning tools including the communications programme, communications briefs and project plans
The successful applicant will have experience gained as a Communications Manager, held at senior level. You should have an in-depth knowledge of and experience in using, adapting and developing communications tools and techniques. You should have experience planning and managing the implementation of communications projects employing suitable methods and techniques and considering evaluations, communications experience gained within the public sector would be an advantage.
