Abcam is a rapidly growing business, specialising in the production and sale of antibody research reagents. We are a web-based business, with offices in Cambridge, UK, Cambridge, USA and Tokyo, Japan.
To support our continued expansion we are looking for an Associate QA Analyst / Tester (Coldfusion SQL C# .Net) to join the IT Department. The Development Team design, build and maintain a ‘best in class' ecommerce website and bespoke information management systems to support Abcam's day to day operations and continued growth. Server-side technologies used are mainly Coldfusion, SQL Server 2005 and some C# .Net.
The role will involve the full life cycle of releasing software into the live environment which will include liaising with the development teams, testing release builds, and code deployment.
The ideal candidate will have some commercial experience in a QA, release or software testing role and have knowledge of programming and testing, ideally within a web application environment.
The role requires someone with good attention to detail and a methodical and logical approach. Consideration will be given to graduates from a computing, science or mathematics background with a keen interest in building web systems and programming.
Skills: Cold Fusion SQL C# .Net
Salary: 19000 - 22000 dependant on experience plus an attractive flexible benefits package which includes a profit-share scheme and share options.
