To help individuals to fully participate in the class providing support as required by the individual
To assist in escorting members in to the Centre from the mini-bus or taxi

Key Skills/Experience/Attributes Required:
Be able to work as part of a team
Punctuality and reliability in attending library sessions
Be able to give clear verbal instructions
Have a good sense of humour
Be able to demonstrate good listening skills and patience
Ability to understand the issues faced by individuals with sight loss
Non-judgemental and able to treat people with respect
Have an interest in supporting people in the community
Have basic computer literacy in Microsoft applications

Special Requirements:
A willingness to work in an environment with guide dogs. References and a Criminal Records Bureau check will be required for all volunteer roles.
