Uk Recruit - Prison RGN nurse - Bedford
Description : Shorts Description: Registered Nurse required to work within Healthcare Facility at an Immigration Removal Centre. The centre cares for up to 405 men, women, and children. We require an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. The Nurse will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills at first on scene in the event of an emergency and at booked triage/ minor illness clinics. The nurse will also be required to run chronic disease management clinics. You will be organised and able to self manage. You will work collaboratively with the Healthcare team and make appropriate referrals to other members of the team and the wider NHS services in order to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. As a Nurse you will make the care of people your first concern, treating all residents as individuals and respecting their dignity. Working with others to protect and promote the health and well being of those in your care, their families and carers, and the wider community within the centre. You will provide a high standard of practice at all times.
You need to be a general registered nurse. Experience of primary care is an advantage as is school nurse experience.
All potential candidates should have 5 years UK permanent residency. The company is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; consequently all offers of employment are subject to satisfactory security clearance and approval by the Authority. If you are successful in being offered a position you will be given a Security Questionnaire to complete and you will require clearance before you can commence work.
The Healthcare operates 24/7 365 days a year. Staff work night and day shifts and some weekends.
Salary circa 26 K PA inclusive 40 hours per week.
