ATLS, ALS, APLS and MIMMS training/re-certification and consideration for all other educational requirements are available. Junior doctors working within the department will be supported by a Clinical Director, three consultants, as well as 5 staff grade doctors and 7 other junior Doctors.

Following the creation of a state-of-the-art resuscitation room in 2000, the
main part of the department has now been redeveloped to improve services
for patients. The department has been renovated to include an additional 5 Major and 6 minor bays in addition to the other 15 bays that were already available to the Emergency room staff.
