Our client, part of a significant multi-national Group, is a leading fmcg manufacturer supplying the major multiples and other B2B customers with a broad range of branded and own-label products. The business is experiencing significant ongoing profitable growth despite the economic backdrop and is currently embarking on an exciting period of expansion and change.

Leading a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 150 across two sites, this newly created role will be responsible for delivering against customer needs in terms of quality and service whilst maximising profitability within a safe working environment. The emphasis of the role will be on further raising working standards and disciplines across the business, and on driving continuous improvement through the implementation of world class manufacturing tools and techniques.

Candidates, ideally degree qualified, will have proven relevant experience gained in a similar fmcg environment, preferably supplying food products. A track record of performance improvement achieved through the implementation of modern manufacturing practices is essential for this role and ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership characteristics and the ability to manage change in a fast paced environment. Experience of working directly with the major multiples would also be a distinct advantage.

It is intended that the appointed candidate will succeed the existing General Manager in the fullness of time, and we are therefore seeking applications from exceptional individuals with strong onward potential.
