A General Manager, with P&L responsibility, is required by a successful 3m t/o p.a. subsidiary of a leading print and packaging group. The company is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke, printed food packaging which it supplies to a prestigious customer base including blue chip, Brand owners in the snack food and food service sectors. The challenge will be to expand the business and take it to the next level by maximising and maintaining sales in existing markets, utilising and building on the Group’s excellent reputation for innovation and state of the art design and print capability. Whilst running the business on a day to day basis and ensuring unrivalled levels of service to existing customers continues, you will lead the effort to find new applications for existing products and to drive an aggressive new product development programme which will lead the company into new market areas.

Applicants will have previous experience in the printed packaging sector, ideally gained in an added value, multi material environment supplying into food, food service and non- food markets e.g. cartons, film, litho laminated corrugated etc. Candidates will currently be working in a Business Management, Sales, Commercial or Technical/ Product Innovation capacity and must have proven experience of leading successful business development strategies through product innovation and market diversification. A creative approach, lateral thinking and well developed leadership and communication skills are a pre- requisite.
