| Job Reference: VP62040T Responsibilities include: - To direct and coordinate the activities of the plant staff, liaising with and co-ordinating the activities of the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager. - To oversee the business, administrative and personnel requirements of the plant with support from the plant administrative staff. - To oversee the operational performance of all plant and processes on site, including the methods and organisation of the work, liaising with Group Directors and Engineers as appropriate. - To implement changes as appropriate to optimise operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. This includes energy and waste management. - To ensure the plant operates within the legal requirements of environmental legislation. - Liaise with other Managers, regarding feasibility studies, evaluation, costing and programming of installation. - To undertake all aspects of staff management, including recruitment, induction and training, within guidelines and with support from Human Resources. - To be available to be called in during an emergency situations and plant breakdowns when necessary. - To prepare an annual budget for review and subsequently work within an approved budget. - To ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance with the Company's Quality, Environmental and HandS Management Systems and Procedures.
Skills:
