Responsibility: 1. Optical Fiber attenuation improvement at 1310nm lesser than 0.320 dB/km 2. Optical Fiber attenuation improvement at 1550nm lesser than 0.180 dB/km. 3. Elimination of Micro bubbles in Core rod from OVD process. 4. Collapsing process improvement 5. Elimination of Central dip in refractive index profile. 6.Elimination of Micro bubbles, particles at Core-Cladding interface 7.Elimination of Micro bubbles, particles in OVD Cladding region. 8. Preform outer diameter variation reduction. 9. Estabilish optimised conditions for SiCl4 delivery system 10. OVD Cladding process improvement 11.mprovement of polarization mode Dispersion(PMD) eg. Core Preform Core Ovality, Bow in Core Rod,Core Clad Concentricity Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Optical fiber manufacturing. Preferred experience in working on attenuation improvement projects. Hands on experience in OVD Core rod manufacturing process. Knowledge on Optical fiber measurements. Working in Optical fiber manufacturing thru Outside Vapor Deposition Process or Vapor Axial Deposition Process. Working in Optical fiber manufacturing Outside Vapor Deposition Process or Vapor Axial Deposition Process. Measurement of PMD before cabling, correlation of cable PMD with various process parameter in manufacturing. Qualification:Engineer Position is for ex-pats with 5 to 10 yrs only Skills:
