| Job Reference: VP63703T Rail Communications: Project Engineer - GBP 25,000- GBP 40,000 dependent on skills and experience An exciting opportunity exists to join a multi-discipline design team for a major multi-national consultancy based within the Yorkshire region and get involved in major projects from inception to completion. Working on rail projects the Design/Project Engineer will be responsible for; representing the telecommunications discipline within the design team and at client offices, execution of telecoms feasibility studies of designs, site surveys, and project engineering. You will also be responsible for delivering projects to the highest standards of quality within set time frames and budget constraints. The Design Project/Engineer will preferably is degree qualified and currently hold or is working towards an IRSE license. In addition you will have a broad telecommunications engineering capability including experience in Operational Railway Telecommunications systems design and project engineering. Communication Systems you will have worked on previously will include concentrators, cabling, signal posts (SPTs, PETs) fixed line telephony and transmission. You will have an excellent track record in the rail industry, with strong interpersonal and networking skills, backed up by a strong understanding of the requirements and issues associated with implementation of telecommunications systems within the rail sector.
