An opportunity exists for a Design Engineer to become part of a small and dynamic Transportation Engineering group, providing professional design services to public sector clients, including the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, GTA municipalities, and others. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for planning and designing road works, services and drainage; preparing work plans, budgets and cost estimates; conducting site inspections; preparing contract drawings, specifications and documents; working on Class Environmental Assessment projects, reports, and design briefs; and providing construction administration services.

Skills:

You must be registered as a Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist/Technician or be eligible for registration in the Province of Ontario.

As the ideal candidate, you are highly motivated and have at least 2 years' work related experience, including previous experience in a Civil Engineering design environment.

You will have the ability to work with at least one of the following software packages; Autocad, LDD, Civil3D, Microstation, InRoads, and be willing to improve your proficiency with CADD software and other design tools.

Local Ontario based knowledge an asset.

You are a results oriented, self-motivated, forward-thinking individual possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
