The Senior Rail Engineer will be responsible for rail design for transit systems, commuter and freight rail, and railroad/transit planning including track work, passenger facilities, and related design activities and will also manage design projects, tasks, and related staff for railroad projects.

The successful candidate will guide, oversee and review design work produced by junior staff for quality and conformance to standards.

The senior Rail Engineer will work on business development and marketing activities, such as preparing qualification statements, proposals and interviews; and coordinate transportation work efforts.

Skills:

Bachelor Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario
7 years of progressive experience with technical and managerial aspects of light rail projects
Project management experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with developing and preparing proposal documents
