A highly experienced Cardiac Physiologist is sought to ensure the Physiological Measurement service offers a routine, courteous and efficient service that meets set quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills as well as management/supervisory experience. Responsibilities: *Direct day-to-day management and organisation of the Cardiac Physiological Measurement Service. *Work at a senior level within the Hospital and regularly review working practices to ensure the delivery of a high quality service. *Organise, prioritise and problem solve on a daily basis and be prepared to carry out clinical tests and procedures as required. *The ability to interpret, analyse and disseminate information to other team members is essential. *Provide accurate, timely reports. *Carry out clinical procedures on a daily basis *Ensure that the service provided complies with local and national standards. *Writing policies and guidelines where appropriate. *Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and staff within the Hospital and outside agencies. *Monitor quality and clinical care supplied by the team. *Monitor booking arrangements and utilisation of the service. *Promote the health of patients, staff and visitors. *Attend all relevant multidisciplinary meetings and give feedback to staff where appropriate. *Encourage and facilitate department's participation in hospital clinical audit programme, being actively involved with the Governance group. *Ensure all equipment is maintained and records kept up to date. *Participate in equipment procurement processes and trial as required. *Identify training needs, and encourage participation in training programmes and staff development where appropriate, ensuring mandatory training e.g. Health and Safety, fire, etc) is attended. *Meeting the Hospitals Business Plan objectives. *Take responsibility for ensuring the environment meets the requirements of Health and Safety and other related legislation. Requirements: *BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent. *Current Life Support Certificate (ILS). *Advanced knowledge in ECG Interpretation and Event Monitor analysis. *Experience at a senior level and proven managerial/supervisory experience. |
