Key responsibilities of the role include: - Undertaking Air Quality Impact Assessments - Dispersion Modelling - Monitoring programmes - Liaising with Local Authorities and Clients - Writing reports/chapters for Environmental Statements - Commercial/QA management of small projects - Supervising and checking Graduate's work You will have the opportunity to become involved with key land development projects assessing air quality impacts, including: - Major new settlements (e.g Ebbsfleet in Kent) - Regeneration projects (such as Lewisham Gateway and Union Square, Swindon) - Waste sites (e.g. vessel composting plant in Surrey) - Mineral sites (e.g. open coal mine in South Wales) - LAQM assessments The role offers good opportunities for promotion within the Air Quality team, depending on performance, and there are also future opportunities for multi-disciplinary project management roles. Applicants should have demonstrable experience in an Air Quality consultancy role with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must be self-motivated, have good written and oral communication skills and be qualified to BEng/BSc level or equivalent. We would also consider candidates with a BA in Geography if you also have an MSc/PhD. In addition, applicants will be an Associate member of the Institute of Air Quality Management and have experience of using ADMS-Roads, DMRB and ADMS v4, alongside good MS Excel and Word skills. Candidates with experience of managing small projects to time and budget, with the ability to juggle several projects at the same time should apply without delay. Experience of change control would also be of benefit.
