Job Description Due to an increase in workload for local authority and central government clients, this firm is seeking to recruit additional staff to support its Transport Technology Services (TTS) team based in Stoneham, Southampton.

The team currently consists of 11 staff dealing with ITS consultancy policy and analysis. We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn and have proven ITS, analysis, report writing and presentation skills.

The successful candidate will be part of a strong technical team and will work on a variety of projects. Over time staff will be expected to take responsibility for managing projects, with support from the technical team.

The successful candidate will initially be responsible for managing a team of graduates undertaking traffic data analysis on the Highways Agency's prestigious M42 ATM and Birmingham Box ATM monitoring and evaluation projects. They will also be involved in the technical input to other projects such as Managed Motorway Compliance and Local Authority related projects.

Our current work and growth areas include:

- ITS strategy development and delivery
- Monitoring and evaluating the Highways Agency's Active Traffic Management system (ATM)
- HA framework technical consultancy and research projects
- Study of HGVs and container ports and their effect on the motorway network
- Development of HA VMS policy
- Identification and implementation of Local Authority ITS Strategies
- Developing ITS Strategy and strategic visions for local, national and international clients
- Transport information dissemination
- ITS system integration
- Studies into messages on VMS including the Red-X used to stop traffic from proceeding
- Traffic signal related projects including work at Heathrow Airport
- Urban related projects including car park management systems, bus priority and real time passenger information systems, journey time improvements

Other areas of TTS at locations around the UK are involved in system (including web based) design, integration, development and installation.

Within TTS you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team working across different offices for different clients.
