You will be based in the Birmingham office.
The team currently produce E and P designs to the Rail industry. This involves electrical and plant design in a variety of areas including the following: Station Lighting, Station Lifts, Points Heating Schemes, Lineside Power Distribution, Stop Board lighting, Walkway, Car park lighting and Building power designs amongst others.

Responsibilities
o Lead and manage teams of Electrification and Plant engineers, technicians and draughtsmen in both the Birmingham and Warrington offices
o Supervising design work through provision of technical leadership ensuring that it is carried out to appropriate technical standards and managed to programme and budget
o Oversee the delivery of all projects from within the E and P design group
o Day-to-day coordination and line management of the design group including weekly staff timesheets, productivities and PDR's
o Undertake weekly resource planning for the E and P design group using in house tools
o Manage financial aspects and reporting (PSR's) on a varied project portfolio
o Responsible for guiding, supporting and developing members of the E and P design group
o Supporting the Regional Manager (North West) in delivery of budget and strategy for both the Northern Territory and wider Rail business
o Identify and develop client relationships through use of Key Account Management techniques (KAM)
o Project estimating and fee bidding
o Input to the ongoing recruitment and strengthening of the E and P design group
o Attend Birmingham office management meetings
o Cascade briefings/updates to teams on a monthly basis or as considered appropriate
