The office specialises in structural integrity management for offshore operators. It is also involved in specialist naval architecture work, pressure plant integrity, Ministry of Defence projects and supporting other departments, providing a stimulating and diverse workload. The office is also at the forefront of renewable technologies, advising the Department of Environment and Climate Change and the Carbon Trust on the feasibility of wave and tidal energy projects and working with their inventors to make improvements using offshore engineering techniques. Located in newly refurbished offices close to St Paul's Cathedral in the City of London, Saddlers House provides a first class work environment with dramatic views and ample space for expansion. An opportunity exists for a degree qualified individual to join this team as a Senior Structural Engineer. Responsibilities As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: Completion and delivery of engineering consultancy work for all types of offshore structures including fixed, floating and subsea. Maintaining and developing client relationships Ensuring the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering Meeting cost and time targets to assist process in delivering high quality consultancy services to oil and gas industry clients Contributions to proposals and tenders Contributions to business and marketing plans Assisting with cost tracking and responsibility for invoicing Opportunities exist to manage and develop small teams of junior engineers Requirements Essential Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural or Offshore Engineering As a minimum, working towards chartered status with a recognised institution Civil and structural engineering experience preferably including offshore Experience of finite element analysis and hand calculations using packages such as MathCAD and MS Excel.
