The office is also at the forefront of renewable technologies, advising the Carbon Trust on the feasibility of wave energy machines and working with their inventors to make improvements using offshore engineering techniques. An opportunity exists for a degree qualified individual to join this team as Principal Structural Engineer. Responsibilities As Principal Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: Supervision of structural engineering consultancy work for all types of offshore structures including fixed, floating and subsea Maintaining and developing client relationships Ensuring the provision of efficient high quality structural engineering Meeting cost and time targets to assist process in delivering high quality consultancy services to oil and gas industry clients Preparation of pre-qualification responses, proposals and tenders Preparation of business and marketing plans Cost tracking and responsibility for invoicing. Requirements Essential Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural or Offshore Engineering Chartered Engineer Substantial structural engineering experience including offshore Experience in finite element analysis Understanding of wave loading and vessel motions Good report writing skills Project management experience Excellent presentation skills Ability to cope rapidly with challenging problems Desirable Experience in advanced finite element analysis Skills: Personal Skills Potential and desire to progress to Chief Engineer status A co-operative and helpful a |
