| Job Reference: VP66090T Assistant Energy Manager Our client, a prestigious engineering and construction company are looking to recruit a assistant Energy manager for a Schools Contract. Reporting to the Schools Energy manager, the assistant Energy manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to minimise energy and water use and associated environmental and financial impacts. A highly committed, customer focused results driven individual will achieve great results in this demanding role. Responsibilities include To analyse utility consumption data to identify excessive use and potential savings. To keep up to date, and to brief colleagues, on all legislative change in respect of the Contract`s energy and water use. To gather and use data from a range of sources in order to effectively demonstrate compliance with legislative requirements. To undertake site surveys and investigations and prepare technical reports regarding the use and conservation of energy and water. To promote energy and water conservation, and `good housekeeping` to all internal and external customers. To highlight and report on any energy / water efficiency or purchasing opportunities that will benefit the contract. Ability to analyse complex data and interpreting it to provide management information. Knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to energy and carbon management. Knowledge of building energy performance measurement and certification Ability to carry out on site surveys and investigations into building energy performance Higher National Certificate, or equivalent, and substantial experience working in a utilities management environment. Or Ordinary National Certificate, or equivalent and substantial experience working in a utilities management environment. Or significant practical experience gained from working in the utilities management industry. Accredited DEC assessor or working towards qualification would be preferential.
