A principal waste and minerals planner is required to join an extremely busy team in their South Wales offices. The role will involve: o Prepare Planning Applications o Provide Planning and Policy Advice o Co-ordinate associated Environmental Impact Assessments o Undertake Site Searches/Appraisals o Network with Directors and other teams to ensure optimum use of resources across business. o Undertake technical review in accordance with QA/QC system and manage projects. o Mentor and develop Seniors and Consultants within the team to support in day to day running of team Projects will include planning for all aspects of waste, minerals and energy developments, so experience in these areas is essential. The ideal candidate will have: Experience of preparing planning applications for major waste, energy or minerals development and associated EIA's. RTPI membership (or eligibility) desirable but not essential. Experience of Enquiries or Appeals desirable but not essential. Skills: Excellent Written Skills Strong Project Management and Co-Ordination Skills. Strong Communication Skills. A clear specialist in skill area. Strong delegation skills and can deal with issues within team as they arise before they become a problem. Ability to manage projects outside of discipline area and manage multi disciplinary projects.
