One of the largest retailers in the UK, our client is looking for an exceptional individual to fill an exciting role.

You will be accountable for managing line level stock for a dedicated product category, controlling both intake of stock from suppliers and store stock replenishment. Reporting directly to the Supply Manager, your responsibilities will include:

l The planning and managing of purchase order intake considering current stock base, lead time, demand forecasts, promotional activity, supplier reliability and stock holding strategy.
l Effectively manage stock for promotional activities, seasonal stock builds, direct importing, range changes and extra-ordinary purchases.
l Control the intake in line with weekly Open to Buy targets and distribution capabilities, prioritising company stock requirements.
l Take accountability for product availability and stock levels and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the stock and supplier base.
l Work closely with suppliers to maximise stock availability to the company against intake plans.
l Control replenishment parameters to optimise store stock holding and maximise availability to the customer.
l Have regular contact with Buying and Marketing colleagues to ensure the company's commercial goals are met, in line with availability and stock turn targets.
l Have regular contact with Distribution colleagues to resolve day to day logistics issues and proactively improve supply chain processes.
l Own day to day management of workload and team priorities providing clear direction to the Supply Assistants.
l Demonstrate initiative by working pro-actively within the team, identifying opportunities for improvement and problem solving.
l Participate in projects to develop and enhance the company's Supply Chain processes and toolsets.
