| A local authority in North Yorkshire urgently requires a committed and enthusiastic Accounts Technician on a 4 month period temporary basis, with the possibility of it being extended. You will be a personable individual who enjoys working in a team environment. You will have a can do attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision. It is important that you can pick up new systems and processes quickly. Day to day duties will include: ? Preparing revenue and capital estimates ? Completing budget preparation and variance analysis ? Maintaining the accuracy of the Financial Management System ? Completing grant claims and other financial/statistical returns ? Preparing final accounts ? Providing financial information to staff in financial services ? Producing budget monitoring reports on a regular basis for budget managers ? Reconciling accounts ? Interpreting legislation Previous public sector experience is essential as well as the completion of variance analysis, budget monitoring and liasing with managers.
