Senior Transport Planner.
This East London local authority is looking for an experienced Senior Transport Planner.

The focus of the role is on cycling projects however the successful candidate does need to be prepared to be involved in a wide range of sustainable transport issues, not only cycling. They will be; leading on sustainable transport policy issues for the Council, such as revision of the local authority Cycle Plan. Preparation of responses to various transport planning queries. To be responsible for a portfolio of projects consisting of: continuation of the estate cycle parking project in the borough, improve cycle parking provision at rail stations and set up a cycle hub for one of the new East London Line stations. With the Olympics only three years away the team is constantly getting requests for new projects so the list above is by no means exhaustive. There is plenty of work in the team and depending on the outcome of some of the external funding bids they have under way there may be many more opportunities.
