| Project Manager (Education Finance) reporting to Head of Departmental Finance. Responsibilities are to ensure the Finance project plans are delivered on time. To contribute to the effective leadership to the transfer/finance team and input proactively in preparing the company's financial strategy to achieve delivery of key business objectives. To contribute to the preparation of the annual revenue, capital budget and produce clear concise financial reports to senior management. To ensure that adequate financial procedures are in place for the proper conduct of day to day financial operations. Ideally ACA / ACCA / ACMA qualified accountant with experience in Education finance a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of accounting, finance, budget and monitoring. The ability to interpret complex legislation and regulations relating to Education policy and Education finance. Up to date experience of accounting systems and financial reporting standards. Project management experience essential. Large Local Authority based in the Greater Manchester area. This Council provides a wide range of services for the people of the Borough and manages an annual budget totaling approx. 600 million.Only applicants with a suitable amount of UK based finance experience and who have a legal right to work within the UK will be considered. |
