The Position: Due to our continued success we are currently seeking an Employment Officer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: 1.Plan and prepare customer interviews in accordance with the contract. 2.Carry out customers interviews to enter them onto the programme and identify appropriate volunteering placements. 3.Maintain all records for the programme 4.Identify placement opportunities for customers on programme and develop effective relationships with employers. 5.Maintain data input onto database of employers and maintain regular contact to maintain awareness of early vacancies. 6.Actively promote volunteering to all customers and try to place as many as possible on activities 7.Identify and agree a wide range of suitable volunteering placements from across voluntary, corporate and statutory sectors and that meet customer needs and interests Person Specification: Qualifications: -Qualification (or willing to work towards) relating to assessment, review and guidance. Experience: -Working with and advising unemployed people -Working with people from diverse backgrounds. -Recruiting, inducting and organising volunteers -An understanding of the voluntary sector and the needs, policies and legislation affecting volunteers -volunteer support and management -Customer Focus Personal Qualities: -Good team worker, but also ability to work without supervision. -Genuine empathy with the unemployed and disadvantaged. -Flexible and hardworking.
