Supply Quality Manager based Portsmouth salary TBA with the successful applicant SKILLS REQUIRED FOR JOB Basic Knowledge - (30.35) Experience of not less than 5 years in Project Product Assurance Use of Microsoft office applications Knowledge of Product Assurance requirements for Space and/or Aerospace application HNC / Degree in appropriate technical subject Knowledge of Company Quality Systems ISO 9000 Good Communication and facilitation skills Recognise and drive solutions to major issues Electrical/Electronics/RF assembly Awareness of appropriate standards for space, ESA, ECSS, DSCC, MIL etcDescription The individual will be functionally responsible to the Head of UK Product Assurance for RF Equipments. To co-ordinate, control and completion of all quality tasks, for the provision of advice and assistance to Project teams to achieve resolution of quality problems and the verification / certification of a contract deliverable item. It will be necessary to work in a team environment and be able to provide valued inputs into the team, calling upon any specialist knowledge as appropriate. Activities Project management of all quality related activities for technical procurement of hardware for space applications. Responsibilities - Ensure appropriate flow down of requirements to suppliers and sub tier suppliers. - Review supplied documentation as part of project / procurement team, covering all major project reviews, e.g. EQSR; PDR; CDR; MRR; TRR; TRB; DRB - Clarify and resolve all non-compliances. - Ensure Contractual Quality Assurance requirements are understood and followed. - input to project costing - input to project specifications - attendance at major design reviews - manage manufacturing and test reviews - manage acceptance and delivery reviews - review of supplies manufacturing processes and controls to ensure compliance - participation to supplier audits as necessary - input to annual supplier assessments - verification / inspection of hardware Interfaces External - to act as an interface with Suppliers and in some cases Customers on all quality issues; define and / or negotiate all quality requirements for Suppliers and Subcontractors and monitor the implementation of these requirements by liaison and review with the suppliers. Internal - to act as an interface between procurement and projects for quality issues; and to ensure the project is regularly updated. |
