Salary: 24,831 - 39,273 pro rata

Company Info: An Acute Dysphagia Voice Specialist Therapist is sought to join a specialist service in the London area. The position is permanent and can be based over a 3 or 4 day week. The postholder will need to be able to work independently and will be experienced with feeding, swallowing and voice disorders. The client group is adults and the position is hospital based. 

We are looking for a highly specialist SLT, skilled in the field of adult acquired neurological disorders. The post involves working predominantly working in a fast pace acute setting, providing a state of the art dysphagia service to patients referred.

Recent experience and a thorough knowledge of current approaches to the treatment of acquired swallowing disorders are essential for this role, in addition to excellent communication skills and an ability to inspire and motivate. Specialist skills in dysphagia are essential, including videofluoroscopy skills and experience in the management of complex cases.

Responsibilities:
* Working closely as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults.
* Working in partnership with, and giving support to affected families as well as conducting specialist assessments.
* Ongoing therapy and Individual Service Plan Development.
* Development of syntax and morphology.
* Stroke work and dysphasia.
* Assistive communication devices.
* AAC systems and intervention.

Requirements:
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
* HPC registration
* Experience working with clients with dysphagia
