The Home cares for the elderly frail who are in need of nursing care and for the elderly with dementia and those with long-standing mental health problems. The home is registered with 49 beds in total. They also care for people with high dependency needs such as those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Huntingdon’s Disease. As well as this they are also registered for five places for younger disabled people and offer respite care for short or medium stay, at short notice or booked in advance. Job Details Mainly to provide clinical co-ordination and leadership to the hospital out of hours under the supervision and guidance of the on-call Manager Provide clinical leadership surervision support to Staff nurses and support workers to develop and implement individualised Care Plans for patients To act as a Primary Nurse Other duties and responsibilities will encompass: Clinical/Managerial/Developmental/Supervisory/Professional and Legal as well as General compliance with Health and Safety at work, complaints resolving,clinical and nursing audits and to perform any other reasonable task delegated form time to time for the smooth and effective running of the Hospital. Qualifications RMN (RGN desirable) Current registration with the NMC Skills/Experience Four years post registration experience Up to date knowledge of the assessment and treatment of people with mental illness and personality disorder who present a challenging behaviour Understanding of CPA Understanding fo Clinical Risk Assessment Awareness of Code of Practice Ablity to delegate tasks and to ensure objectives are achieved Demonstrate good interpersonal skills Demonstrate good people management skills Ability to maintain professional distance with patients and junior staff Benefits Management Support Pension Training and Develoment |
