PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day workflow and supervision of a team of analysts and associates within the Performance Department and to lead the group and projects owned by the team using a high level of technical expertise and sound business judgment. This includes translating Performance and GICS strategy into department action; working with the Lead Manger to develop strategy; building and maintaining inter and intra-department relationships and ownership of group projects.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assesses and prioritizes projects and requests in order to ensure quality, timely and customer focused results. Responsible for using sound business judgment and technical knowledge to collaborate with internal groups to ensure client and business process considerations are evaluated and prioritized in accordance to short and long term demands. Manages workflow while promoting employee empowerment and fostering a supportive environment that challenges staff to grow. 2. Participates in the setting of strategic direction for the team by leading continuous review and design of controls, processes, and policies of the group in order to ensure customer and/or regulatory expectations are met and that the department is optimized to meet business objectives. Relies on technical expertise and industry knowledge to identify and coordinate with appropriate internal groups in establishing and implementing processes and applying policies for use of performance and statistical data. 3. Involved in department initiatives and projects to identify opportunities to enhance the quality and efficiency of performance department processes.
