| Role Profile : A significant amount of transformational strategic sourcing activity is currently being undertaken within the organisation, resulting in a set of strategic partnerships which are key to servicing the IT function. The timely engagement of these strategic vendors, and effective management of these contracts will be crucial to maximising the value obtained from them. The IT Contracts Specialist will ensure ongoing contract management is undertaken within defined processes and procedures to ensure that the strategic partnerships and associated contracts deliver benefits that are sustained and maximised over time working closely with key individuals across the indirect category. Key Accountabilities : - To build and sustain in-depth knowledge and understanding of strategic vendor contracts - Ensure contract activities comply with defined Segment/Function sourcing strategies - Assist in transition, novation, amendment, termination and/or extension requirements for strategic contracts - Execute the contracting process ensuring it is executed in a timely, efficient fashion leveraging the Procurement Offshore Centre as required - Verifying work is requested/scoped, managed and administered in timely accordance with the contract and sound business principles - Provide contractual MI for relevant stakeholders including IT&S vendor managers, Indirect Procurement category & sourcing managers and Leadership Team members - Supporting the development of relevant category strategies - Contributing to initial and contract renewal negotiations Essential Criteria - Experience in strategic sourcing and contracting activities (administration, project control, procurement and contract management) - Strong understanding and experience of negotiation contract terms and conditions of contract - Broad post-contract management experience - Experience in the use of "best practice" procurement tools and methodologies - Sound knowledge of contract and commercial law Strong HSE management leadership skills - University degree (3-4 year Bachelor degree) or equivalent - MCIPS or equivalent qualification - Experience with project management and contract management software and tools To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Matchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. |
