| Assistant Project Manager required to join our Shipbuilding facility in Portsmouth. This role will be providing support to the Hunt COM re-propulsion programme. Reporting to the Re-Propulsion Project Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: - The integration of outputs from various functions, suppliers and stakeholders and the application of the appropriate project management processes and tools to achieve the project goals, - Collation of multiple data sources in to a single report on the performance of the project, - To work closely with the Project Manager to ensure they are aware of emerging and key issues, - To engage with the project stakeholders to collect performance data, - Actively communicate SHE matters - up and down the chain, engaging project stakeholders, - To deputise for the Project Manager as required. Role Requirements: - Production and maintenance of project schedule, and monitoring of the overall project performance, - Identify deficiencies and delays to the schedule and seek their resolution, - Collate risk data and maintain the risk register, - Monitor costs and progress against the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), - Production of performance and delivery metrics and graphs, - Production of the monthly Contract Status Review CSR report, - Manage the production of information to support Life Cycle Management reviews, - Production of project management data and schedules for subsequent phases. The successful candidate will: - Have proven project and risk management experience, including commercial and financial knowledge, - Knowledge of Logistical Support Analysis and Through Life support techniques, - Demonstrate leadership behaviours that contribute to high performing teams and be able to motivate others, - Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving, - Have the ability to establish excellent working relationships with both internal and externals customers, - Hold or be working towards a project Management qualification, - Be committed to maintaining their professional development achieved through experience and knowledge, - Good understanding of Life Cycle Management.
