COMPANY:
Our client is a leading civil engineering and rail contractor established nearly 40 years ago. With three UK offices they work on large projects nationwide. They provide clients with a wide range of design, construction and engineering services. They have long standing relationships with key clients allowing them to forge a committed and mutually beneficial service.

ROLE:
We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Barnsley. You will be working on multiple civils contracts.
The purpose of your role is to ensure successful commercial and financial management for the project.

Responsibilities include:
Presentation of all applications for payment
Monitoring of payments
Final accounts
Monthly Cost Value Reconciliations
Work schedules and cash flows
Sub contractor management
Documentation management for all variations, additional payments and claims
Full support to site and contract teams

REQUIREMENTS:
Ideally you will be qualified to degree level or other appropriate qualification, be a member of RICS or equivalent and have a contractor background. Civils experience in a rail environment would be a distinct advantage.
