The Client:

My client is a global leader in energy infrastructure & transport and they are currently operating in over 70 countries throughout the world. They have recently been awarded new EPC projects in Algeria and Tunisia and need to recruit a Site-based Contract Managers to start as soon as possible.

The Role:

As the Site Contract Manager you will report directly to the Group Contract Manager and operationally to the Site Manager and have overall responsibility for all Project contractual activities. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: -

- Ensure the successful execution of site construction contracts according to agreed commercial obligations, financial and qualitative targets.
- Proactive risk/ claim assessment and management for site construction contracts
- Mutual responsibility with Construction Management to optimize financial results
- Manage all site contracts according to the agreed processes laid out in the current Business Plan
- Ensure that contractors and/or consortium partners comply with their contractual obligations
- Support the preparation of commercial documents and participate during final Civil and M&E erection contracts
- Complete and administrate site insurance claims

The role will be based in either Algeria or Tunisia. Preference will be shown to candidates looking to ravel single status although family status can be accomodated for the Tunisian role. Rotation details to be discussed.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration or Law. They will have at least 10 years experience in a Contract Manager's role working on multi $ million/$ billion international power contracts - ideally on EPC gas turbine / combined turbine power plant construction projects. They will also possess the following: -

- Understanding of International Contract Management
- Preferably proven experience in the power industry
- Experience of high level negotiations
- Strong communication skills
- Influencing skills
- Experience working in multi-cultural environment
- Analytical skills
- Understanding or project risk management
- Fluency in written & spoken English AND French is ESSENTIAL
- Additional Arabic language skills would offer a distinct advantage but are not essential

The Package:
