| My client is world leader in digital security, providing secure personal devices, platforms and services to governments, organizations and businesses. They currently have a requirement for a Project Manager. Dimension: Involvement and representation of the company, in identified project work on new and existing contracts and tenders. The project team work will involve significant internal liaisons with other departments as well as external liaison with all relevant departments from the customer, suppliers and subcontractors. Customer facing activity as well as internal progression of tasks is vital, and the ultimate delivery of customer requirement depends on the on time delivery of such projects. Key Responsibilities: Full involvement and responsibility for project work through the following phases: -Project definition; reviewing and scoping of projects, production of effort statement (Statement of Work), identification and recruitment of project resource allocation, and time scale definition prior to project acceptance. -Specification; interface specification, file treatment specification, production specifications ie output file and DC9000 production file, carrier specification, SLA and reporting requirements, transmission time and other IT agreements. -Production Development; file treatment, chip personalisation, carrier production, machine setups (emboss and insertion), and production documentation. -Trial/Testing support; planning and scheduling, education of involved areas particularly customer services, bureau administration and production, data reception, conversion, treatment and output files, delivery and supply of plastics and stationery. Customer test output (submissions) are key milestones in most projects, and in many cases need to be approved by card schemes (Visa, MasterCard etc) -Handover to Production; Leading with M&I department (normally from test phase) to ensure product and service definition is clear. -Reporting; production of weekly progress reports, progress to plan, maintenance of issues and risks logs, R.A.G. status etc where applicable, defining and reporting project team resource workload and availability, maintaining pertinent records and detail on all project work. Person Specification: Background in project Management and ideally Prince2 Ability to understand and interface with the technical departments of the company Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Any existing knowledge of Smart Cards and PKI or having worked with related technologies would be a significant plus.
