| Head Chef/Kitchen Manager - Busy Thai Restaurant Thai Restaurant Head Chef Our client is a major leisure retail company with over 300 pubs, bars and restaurants throughout the UK. An opportunity exists for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager creating freshly cooked authentic South East Asian cuisine from Thai, Singapore and Burma served throughout the venue this high turnover popular pub and authentic Thai restaurant in the hub of fashionable North West London. The primary objectives of the position will be to manage organise and co-ordinate the kitchen and food production for the unit and ensure the services are processed efficiently in line with company standards along with meeting budgeted forecasts. The ideal candidate will be an experienced pro-active team player, committed and driven to achieve high standards and company goals. Have extensive Thai food knowledge and kitchen management experience as a Head Chef and be an effective communicator (Thai language proficiency a plus) and motivator of staff along with being able to stay calm under pressure. Main tasks; *Extensive knowledge of authentic South East Asian cuisine from Thai, Singapore and Burma etc. *Oversee the day to day running of the kitchen operation *Enforcing hygiene regulations within the kitchen *Be responsible for the correct use of all kitchen equipment *Ensure the correct use of all food stocks *Liaise with the Management team for the smooth running of the restaurant *Assist with the management and training of staff *Complete the induction of all new kitchen staff *To control staff, providing work rotas etc *Ordering all food stock If you feel you meet the above and want to work within a fun busy environment with future progression, please submit your CV.
