| Licensing Commercial Manager, to 50k, Manchester Position: Licensing Manager Location: Old Trafford, Manchester Salary: 40-50k Basic COMPANY: Our client, the Merchandising operation of one of the UK’s leading football clubs, operates as a subsidiary of one of the world’s most recognisable brands, a company at the forefront of technical innovation in sport. ROLE: Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for growing a profitable business across all existing and new licensee partners. You will plan and execute the licensing strategy for the business and be responsible for International licensing as well as leading the Product POV for the Business Unit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Business Growth and Development – to plan and execute the licensing strategy for the Business Unit across all categories, leading the business planning process focusing on the UK and Ireland Market. Continual development of sales tools and presentation processes, signing/identifying new categories in a mature market, identifying and managing new channels for licensed products, developing direct to retail programs, account management. b) International Licensing – ensure Business Unit pov exists in every international licensing deal and support the international licensing structure with all relevant resources, knowledge and integration into Business Unit. c) Coach, mentor and develop the team – Create a clear Vision , set objectives and develop key strategies whilst creating a results orientated culture within the Licensing team. Ensure strong integration between the product and account management functions within the licensing team and develop great relationships across the wider Business Unit. Continually review roles and responsibilities in line with business objectives. d) Lead the Product POV for the Business Unit – Manage the product process with key licensees including Sales Analysis, Product Briefing, Range Planning and post season review. Lead the creation and implementation of seasonal style guides. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: a) Previous Licensing knowledge is ESSENTIAL as you should be capable of making a immediate, positive impact to the business unit. b) On a personal level the successful candidate should have experience as a business leader, with exceptional people management skills capable of creating team success, within a fast moving and demanding business environment. c) You must be capable of networking within and across the industry, developing strong links with business partners and have the ability to demonstrate a highly proficient level of influencing and communication. d) Excellent IT knowledge to include advanced Powerpoint and Excel skills.
