Position: Service Technician
Salary: 23,000 to 26,000
Location: Roles available in London, South West, Midlands, East Anglia and North East

COMPANY:
Engineering Maintenance Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK's largest retailer. Head office based in Milton Keynes and employing over 700 technicians nationwide, they provide maintenance services to retail stores to reduce the likelihood of equipment breaking down by carrying out planned preventative maintenance.

ROLE:
They are now looking to recruit Service Technicians to deliver quality and reliable service to customers and colleagues in order to minimise equipment breakdown and impact on trading.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
b) Responding to reactive maintenance.
c) Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and best practice as advised by the company processes and procedures.
d) Make the best use of time, facilities and maintenance systems to provide the most effective and efficient maintenance service to Tesco.
e) Apply technical and specialist knowledge to evaluate, assess and identify solutions for specific maintenance problems referring only non-routine or key problems to your line manager.
f) Liaise with retail management whilst on site to maintain effective communications and working relationships.
g) Prioritise tasks effectively to minimise disruption or sales impact on the stores.
h) Maintain the stores with an appreciation of the store surroundings.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous maintenance experience with technical knowledge and specialist experience within a bakery & catering or commercial food manufacturing environment.
b) Proven skills in first fix repairs.
c) Proven Technical Skills – City & Guilds, NVQ level 2, apprenticeship or time served.
d) Experience of working in a third part contractor and/or retail environment.
e) Full UK driving licence.
